1975 Eric Summers founded
the Senior Job Bank, A Non-Profit Referral Service, Inc. to spread the wisdom of tapping into the tremendous
resource of talents and skills of America's aging population.
His mission ... to end the counter-productive policy of spending billions of tax dollars to enable people to live longer only to discard them ... at any age!
Our seniors
are perhaps this planet's most wasted natural resource. Expertise, knowledge
and experience, developed over many decades of living, simply does not
vanish at any designated age!
The Senior Job Bank
attracted National News in 1980 because of our refusal to accept
federal grants.
Thirty (30) years ago, Summers forewarned
about the impending tax burden of 78 Million Baby Boomers reaching
retirement age. People are living longer creating unexpected demands on
their retirement incomes.
In 1999 The Senior Job Bank moved to the Internet where it gained
greater recognition and a National audience.
We always wondered why more seniors did not
take advantage of reverse mortgages and soon realized there are many
misconceptions about this safe and highly regulated government program.
In 2000 Summers started the
Reverse Mortgage Lenders
Organization in to help seniors and their families get the truth about
reverse mortgages. We have
helped thousands of seniors get the information they want and deserve. The
participating lenders make financial contributions to RMLO to keep this
much-needed public service 100% Free.
In 2005 the Senior Job Bank was turned over to the NHC Group and
they now operate as a corporation for profit.
